Another member of the UK IT Association has been recognised by Computer Weekly after Purple Frog Systems appeared on the front cover of the publication. The article involved was a joint case-study of the benefits that Purple Frog Systems had derived from achieving the gold standard certification in information security from fellow UKITA member, IASME.

A UK IT Association member was praised by a prominent member of parliament in her keynote speech at this years Infosec conference. Chloe Smith, Minister for Political and Constitutional Reform, praised the work done by IASME in creating a cyber-security standard that is specifically aimed at the SME market and for forming a partnership with a local insurance firm to help market the product

Microsoft have confirmed they have no plans to extend the deadline to the ending of support for Windows XP users past April 8th 2014 and this could lead to a few nasty shocks for those that are still using the XP operating system after that date.
